Agree. We can take solace that we are fighting the good fight. There is no certainty, except in Christ and I still have faith this will all work out even though I cannot perceive logistics. I did not realize the true goodness and numbers of good people until I found the other anons four years ago though.

Maybe it can't- I've been thinking about since my younger years too. Even if the perpetrators are eviscerated in public it would eventually take place again. Republics are short lived, but our constitutional republic as the founders designed is the best form of government I know of. Something must be changed and I think it is all about opening up transparency/communications where all can constantly see/communicate without suppression. Maybe it's all futile in the end in there is so much opportunity for corruption in government.
