May you have a blessed day.

There are only 3 adults I exchange gifts with anymore.

My son, his wife and "Secret Santa" family member.

I buy my nieces 3 young kids a gift.

That's it as far as material/consumer Christmas.

I have a nice meal, share baked goods with family that live close by, talk on the phone with family far away.

I Praise and thank God through the day for sending us His son.

There are a few Christmas songs I enjoy hearing.

All in all, a day to reflect on the reason for the season. Life is good.

Do you take meds for pain?

I'm not familiar with the VA, maybe another vet anon has something to offer about what you can do. There must be something! Some recourse?

I'm no stranger to homelessness and poverty though. Lost everything 9 years ago. Too old and too poor to recover from that.

I rent a room now. Certainly not ideal situation. But, it's clean and I can cook here. I have what I need.

Huge adjustment, but in some ways never been happier. I'm finding freedom in the simple life.

Less responsibility and less stress. Maybe my age contributes to that. But now wish I had simplified my life years ago.
