My county used these machines. No sharpies THIS election but they were there many times prior.
Trump was in the area for a rally prior to midterms in 2018. Our local Republican candidate for County Clerk was in attendance. He lost reelection.
Areas with mask mandates don't fare better than those without them.

I'd like to point out that just because a locality doesn't have a mandate it does not mean that plenty of people aren't wearing them by choice. I'd like to know overall mental and physical health outcomes in the two groups: mask wearers and non-wearers. The only study that I know of that looked at this could not show much if any benefit.
MANDATING something without very clear evidence of benefit is putting us on a path towards absolute domination of our lives.
