Duh, all AT&T and other telephone company central offices are also windowless buildings. The reason why is they double as fall out shelters and it prevents theft (unauthorized access)

However with digitalization, most of the building is an empty husk and the equipment is only in a small area on the floors..

I can personally tell you that since 2014 (if not earlier) AT&T has been firing US citizens are a rate of 3000 to 4000 per quarter year.

Do not rule out disgruntled workers in this scenario. However AT&T is complled by CALEA and toehr aspects to providive govt access to calls, and data. E.G. the govt taps all the fiber. this is no secret and well known and spoken about at "AT&T" since the1980s.

Such a build can also act as a network access point dumping wirless onto the fiber transport network.

Also recall Randal was finally removed with a golden parachute, others, like ,e just got ass fucked. Chink took my job. My job was not eliminated.

History anon, look up histroy on old transport copper cables. Plus plenty of big paying cusstomers in manhatten.

Bottom line, AT&T used to have very very reliable networks, but they went asshole and wanted to be more like FANG (facebook, amazon, netflix, google).

I used to design rock solid reliability into the network.

need an EMP to take out the stuff in an AT&T building. (It's all digital now and also with fiber optic cables). I've never been in the Nashville HQ building to know what's there, but there will be regional management.
