Sanctuary city status

Cooper has stated that "Nashville cannot and will not be a sanctuary city."[13] In October 2019, Cooper reversed an executive order implemented by former mayor David Briley in his last few weeks in office that reportedly discouraged local cooperation with federal immigration authorities and encouraged the repeal of state laws described as "anti-sanctuary" laws.[14] >>12170661

About Demonbreun

It's a rite of passage for newcomers to Nashville to mispronounce Demonbreun Street. The street is pronounced de-MUN-bree-un. There's some controversy here, though, because the Timothy Demonbreun Society says the name is pronounced de-MUN-brun. The road is named after a colonial fur trader, Timothy Demonbreun, who was one of the first settlers of the Nashville area.

I imagine the original spelling was " DeMonbreun" or From the brown mountain(French). >>12171006
