Not quite sure I believe everything you said there… but I do believe that strong intelligent sociopaths/psychopaths have been inter breeding for thousands of years. As royalty has been mixing with royalty the strongest psycho-paths have come out of it.
Whether it was done purposefully or not I am not sure.

That being said I believe that for thousands of years what you said has been going on. They would not want to entrust their “weak” offspring with the family wealth.
Which makes saints like Elizabeth of Hungary and St. Claire very interesting because they bucked the trend entirely.
