Dude had a van an a magnetic sticker for AT&T. He would park under and climb the poll real official like and hook int the drop box on a particular wire set from the 128 pair cable. Purple and White and White and Purple seems to be stuck in my head. And that got him to the Cray computers at this facility, I guess. He showed me once on a drunken dare because I was calling bullshit.
This is also the reason for the "Baby Bells" breakup of AT&T long distance as it didn't matter anymore.
