I am writing up a formal document that I would like to have read on Jan 6, 2021 on the Steps of the Capital and possibly submitted for the congressional record.

This document is in the spirit of the Declaration of Independence and is named

Declaration of Restoration

The intent is to make clear that We, the People retain the right to govern ourselves.

I have borrowed much from the original Declaration but have revised as needed to indicate we are not attempting to "abolish" our government but rather to "restore" our government to its original intent. I have also replaced the list of grievances with current items.

I could use some help from the Anons on adding to this list - I'm sure I have missed many. I'll keep an eye out for ideas in the next few breads…
