I hate gluttony and eating contests and fat people, but I also don't want a government interfering in peoples lives like this on a daily basis. What if you are intermittent fasting and having ONE big meal/day? but some CCP asshole comes and tells you that's too much food.
I don't like food waste either. I think USA has overkill laws or policies (like McDonalds tosses food that isn't sold within 10 min or something like that. There are many many ways people waste food. I know people who refuse to eat leftovers or anything more than a day old. Strange as someone who eats leftovers often up to a week later (or freezes it). I used to see grocery stores toss perfectly good donuts early evening that were prob made that am. They are perfectly good for a few days boxed up or refrigerated (or give to homeless).
If anything I could see limiting harmful ingredients like sugar, GMO flour, HFCS etc.
and definitely back to fat shaming...but that's all been part of the long slow bolshevek plan.
some of these are just drawbacks of capitalism (like restaurants upselling dessert/super sizing, etc) and cheap plentiful food. Arguments aside.
