I just remembered something from a few weeks ago that seems relevant now. This happened in Hendersonville, Tn, just to the north of Nashville.
Kind of giving away my location a bit, but that's okay. I heard this when it happened and it went on for several minutes. It sounded more like continuous fireworks or gunfire. It was most definitely not one big boom.
After this happened we started getting strange extended internet outages on a regular basis for 12 to 24 hours at a time.(xfinity)
At 9 pm on Christmas Eve, the night BEFORE the Nashville bombing, our internet went out and didn't return until the 26th.
‘Loud boom’ late Saturday likely a meteor
The Hendersonville Standard, Dec 10, 2020 Hendersonville, Tn
"And everyone, it seemed, had a theory – from a blown transformer to fireworks or gunshots to an explosion at the DuPont chemical plant to blasting at a rock quarry in Old Hickory."

<(For some reason the previous bread locked up for me and refused to update after my post, so I couldn't see if anyone responded. I also forgot the sauce, so here it is again with sauce.)
