Q: what does it cost to be woke. just walking to lunch around '16 election with supervisor who is green card for 20 years working on citizenship. said he did not understand US system or people being so stupid to allow trump. swallowed MSM narrative whole on Trump (evil, racist, crook, idiot). said politicians in his country are all like mafia, stealing, violent. i said trump was not a politician he was a patriot to restore rule of law and the deep state would try to impeach or kill him if he won, and that HRC was the criminal. he said you watch out you sound like a racist. after election, professionals in halls running up and down cursing mocking trump supporters. all next level execs started being openly pussy hatters, cold shoulder to me, cut out of loop. they made a trump dummy and destroyed it for laughs. i was never vocal in support of trump, i just did my work but they knew i was conservative because being family man and not spouting SJW slogans when prompted.
unemployed today after 6 years at position, no real cause, and 23 years in profession. hired in another green carder. colleagues told me to get attorney etc. I dont want to be there, but it would be nice not to have to move out of state pull kids out of school etc. and sell house fast for some loss.
that is what it costs merely to casually discuss the political scene, not even advocating for trump.
