You're not wrong, when looking to all this from outside with an helicopter view, you have sum it up very well. Between the strong desire to believe and legitimate doubts, it's hard to find the ultimate evidence all this is true or not. it's frustrating, most of all for people who have been betrayed and lied to for decades.
