As opposed to not paying them off and allowing the interest and penalties to accrue therefore further funding them? Paying them off ends the cycle. Anon should never use them again.

An acquaintance of mine sells cars at a dealership. He can't believe how many cars he sold this month, he doesn't get it either. Only thing he can think of is people are taking money they would have normally used for going on vacation/going out to eat and spending it elsewhere.

Take it and save/spend it wisely while you can anon! My business has faired okay thank God. I don't normally eat out, but trying to once a week to support local restaurant businesses which are dying right now. We count our blessings.
