Have you considered the possibility that both stem from the actual flood event except most have been turned into corrupted, vaguely remembered stories except for the bible? You think the ancient civs didn't have relatively similar flood stories? Funny thing is though, they all DID have flood stories. I wonder why? Maybe because it's true huh? Believe what you want but be careful.
