Saw Eddie Money in HB about 20 years ago. Was downtown and walked into a coffee shop I went too a lot, the one next to the retro clothing shop. There was a crowd inside and a guy playing acoustic guitar at the far end. I asked someone who it was, they said Eddiie Money. I said "oh", bought my coffee and left. True story

Got to see Billy Crystal and Robyn Williams and Mel Gibbson in LA. Was working as an extra and got hired on to "Father's Day". Was in the concert scene of the movie. It took two days to shoot in a amphitheater. during the winter. It was freekin' cold. The song that the band is playing in the scene? We had to listen to it played over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over all day, for two days while we all had too look excited and dancing. Towards the end, people were justing sitting, not moving. Can't imaging how tired your arms can get after fist bumping the air for two days straight. Still can't watch that scene in the movie.

So, Mel did a walk-on camio. No one knew he was there until he finished shooting out of sight and left. As he left the directer called over the PA "everyone say goodbye to Mel Gibbson". Everyone jumped up to get a look. He was walking out strutting like a gorilla, seriously. His chest was pushed out, his arms were flung in front of him and he had this smug look on his face. Didn't wave or nothing.

Billy came into the stands for a shot, but didn't talk to anyone. Robyn stole the show. He did some autographs for a bit and came up into the stands and talked to everyone. It was great. The part that sucked was when he came up everyone got all exited and rushed towards him, climbing over bleachers. You could see the shock and fear as he took a couple steps back. I think everyone figured it out and stopped where they were. He told a bunch of jokes and made some wise-cracks about a guy who was wearing a ski-mask.
