All votes in the House require 2/3 majority. 1st vote was to increase the money directly sent to individuals from $600 to $2000 passed by only a few votes. Then 2nd vote now is to pass HR6395 over the objections of President Trump (basically an override of a veto). Republican votes now stand: 85 for, 55 against, 51 remaining to vote. Looks like the House is going to pass it '''over the objection of the President'.

What's it mean anon? This one doesn't know.

>Is that possible?

Don't know. What the House is doing is passing a new Bill. Here is the wording: Upon passage, objections of the Presidents contrary withstanding, H.R. 6395. c-span's trailer says: Defense Programs & Policy Bill Veto Override.

It can't be a veto because President Trump signed the bill. Nancy (House dems Lawfare staff, that is) taking a different route. They introducing a new Bill. Take a double jointed snake to follow this logic.

This is not a vote to override anything. How can they vote to override a bill President Trump signed? They can't. They are passing a different Bill. As they say in it: Upon passage, objections of the President to the contrary notwithstanding.
