Israeli Man Dies After Receiving COVID Vaccine As 5K+ "Health Impact Events" Reported In US

Following a handful of reports, including one involving a priest from the Philadelphia area who volunteered as a trial participant, about patients who received a vaccine dying in the weeks following the second dose, one man in Israel has died 2 hours after receiving the vaccine.

According to reports in the Israeli press, a 75 year old man from Beit Shean died Monday morning from a hear attack about 2 hours after receiving the vaccine.

The patient has received the vaccine at 0830 in the morning, then waited for the customary time at the health clinic before he was released to his home after reportedly feeling well. Some time after that, the man lost consciousness, then was pronounced dead.

The Israeli Health Ministry released a statement on the death: "A 75-year-old man from the north of the country suffering from active heart disease and malignant disease, who has undergone a number of heart attacks, was vaccinated this morning against the coronavirus and died at home shortly after the procedure."

An investigation into the man's death has been ordered by the Director General of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Hezi Levy, who has appointed a case investigation committee to be led by the head of the MoH's Safety and Quality Division.

News of the man's death follows reports that 5K out of the first 215K recipients of the vaccine in the US reported some kind of "adverse health impact event", which could be anything that seriously limits an individual's ability to function and/or complete daily tasks. These events should be severe enough to require medical attention, but exact details are unclear.

Trump Pardons 'King Of Medicare Fraud' Who Looted $1.3B And Donated to Kushner-Favored Chabad-Lubavitch

President Trump on Wednesday pardoned a host of fraudsters who donated to the Aleph Institute – an organization that was started by the Orthodox Jewish Chabad-Lubavitch movement which counts the president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, as a member.

Though Trump has yet to find the time to pardon Julian Assange who is slowly dying in prison or Edward Snowden who has been living in exile in Russia, he did find the time to pardon the "king of medicare fraud," Chabad-Lubavitch donor Philip Esformes.

Philip Esformes acquired a $1.6 million Ferrari and a $360,000 Swiss watch and traveled around the United States on a private jet, a spending spree fueled by the spoils from what federal prosecutors called one of the largest Medicare fraud cases in history.

"Philip Esformes is a man driven by almost unbounded greed," Denise M. Stemen, an agent in the F.B.I.'s Miami field office, said last year after Mr. Esformes, 52, a nursing home operator, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the two-decade scheme that involved an estimated $1.3 billion worth of fraudulent claims.

That prison term ended suddenly this week, when President Trump commuted what remained of Mr. Esformes's sentence.

His rapid path to clemency is a case study in how criminals with the right connections and resources have been able to cut through normal channels and gain the opportunity to make their case straight to the Trump White House.

For Mr. Esformes, that involved support from a Jewish humanitarian nonprofit group that advances prisoners' rights and worked with the White House on criminal justice issues, including clemency and legislation overhauling sentencing laws that was championed by Mr. Trump and Jared Kushner, his son-in-law and adviser.

Mr. Esformes's family donated $65,000 to the group, the Aleph Institute, over several years starting after his indictment, according to the group.

His family's name adorns a school in Chicago associated with the Chabad-Lubavitch group of Hasidic Jews, whose leader at the time was involved in the creation of the Aleph Institute in the early 1980s. His father is a rabbi in Florida. His family has also donated for years to the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, to which Mr. Kushner has longstanding ties.

EU Clears Way For China Investment Pact

EU member states gave political backing to Brussels' planned investment pact with China on Monday, clearing the way for a deal between the world's biggest economic blocs.

At a meeting of ambassadors, the German EU presidency noted no member had "raised a stop sign and the way for a political endorsement was thus cleared", a diplomat said.

The diplomats noted "recent positive developments" in negotiations, with China reportedly addressing concerns over the alleged use of forced labour on its farms.

This came after the Chinese foreign ministry said last week that "negotiations have entered the final stretch" – and a second EU diplomat said an agreement could now be formally announced this week.

"We have to be careful, but as long as China is in agreement, there could be an official announcement from Brussels and Beijing by the end of the week," the senior envoy told AFP.

The deal would be a major boost for both sides and strengthen economic ties between the giants before the arrival of US president-elect Joe Biden in the White House in January.

Outgoing US leader Donald Trump has engaged in a trade war with China but his successor has also expressed concern about the EU outreach, with his team urging Brussels to consult with Washington.

Amazon Doesn't Discriminate Against Christians Enough, UK Leftist Group Claims

Amazon’s charity donation program AmazonSmile already excludes conservative and Christian organizations, relying on the scandal-plagued far-left smear factory the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) to brand them “hate groups.” This is not enough for some activists, however. Just before Christmas, the British leftist group openDemocracy publicly attacked Amazon for allowing Christian nonprofits like the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) and Focus on the Family to use its AmazonSmile charity donation program.

It seems Amazon’s shameful reliance on the SPLC is not enough for openDemocracy — the group wants AmazonSmile to exclude even more Christian charities because they oppose LGBT activism.

The openDemocracy “report” notes Amazon’s near-50 percent rise in profits during the COVID-19 pandemic and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos’ open support for the LGBT movement and the many awards he has received for it. Yet all is not well in Amazonia: “Dozens of US-based anti-LGBT groups are fundraising on Amazon’s online donations platform – despite the company’s policies against discrimination based on sexual orientation – a new investigation from openDemocracy reveals today.”

A leftist group has found “hate” in the AmazonSmile program — cue the hysteria!

Of course, openDemocracy correctly quotes AmazonSmile’s Participation Agreement, which states that eligible charities cannot “engage in, support, encourage, or promote: intolerance, discrimination or discriminatory practices based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.”

Forces on the Left have weaponized the terms “intolerance” and “discrimination.” It seems openDemocracy considers any statement to the right of the Human Rights Campaign some form of “intolerance” or “discrimination.” If a charity doesn’t hoist rainbow flags on its building, march in Pride parades, and openly advocate for same-sex marriage, it must be an anti-LGBT hate group, right?

The British group claimed to have discovered “more than 40” groups in the AmazonSmile program that “publicly oppose LGBT rights and equality.” These organizations have opposed same-sex marriage and “anti-discrimination laws,” warned against homosexuality and same-sex marriage, attacked TV shows for pushing LGBT activism, claimed that COVID-19 is God’s punishment for LGBT activism, and ordered staff members not to support same-sex marriage. While openDemocracy framed these policies in the worst possible light, most of these stances fall in line with mainstream Christian doctrine. (The COVID-19 claim is beyond the pale and conflicts with Luke 13:1-5 and John 9:1-3.)
