Maybe there’s some hope after all!
This is good work, anon.
The building across the street that appears to have suffered the most structural damage is almost opposite what appears to be the focus of the explosion in the ATT building. If not directly opposite, it’s close enough that the blast from a below ground explosion, lensed through a relatively small aperture in a hardened building, would be emitted with significant upward force towards the area of facing damage. The damage to old brick structures across a narrow street could be attributed to a single blast event originating within the basement of the ATT building. But that would imply a much bigger explosion that we’ve been told. I’m sure that the damage with the ATT building is extensive. Those images will likely never be released.
Someone might be able to compute a range of blast sizes from the observed effects outside the building. Blast dynamics isn’t my field, but I can see what might have happened. The general damage is in no way consistent with an unbounded explosion in an RV on the street. Added to which, we still seem to have no visual evidence of any post-explosion RV debris.
