Doesnt seem very deepstate like to me at least the speaker deal. I feel like they would want to cause death. Did some one interfere? Which is what the gunshots were. And did this some one have to allow it to go off? May be to throw off the enemy? And did they get what they came for? Or did the good guys intercept? These are the things I'm wondering
