OK. I've been digging for a few breads on this Petula Clark song from the RV because I can't for the life of me find a reference to the song playing in the first 36 to 48 hours after the blast. It seems like the Sunday press conference on the 27th was the first reference available for the song playing. So, I'm clicking around to read which officer said it. Figured I'd poke around more. Check this fucking shit out from the New York Post article.

"With 3 minutes left in the countdown —which was eerily punctuated on the recording by the classic Petula Clark pop song “Downtown” — Wells returned to his car to put on heavier protective gear.

“I told them I was going to go back to my car and get my [protective] heavy plates, just mentally getting prepared for whatever was about to happen,” he said.

“I’m starting to go back toward Luellen and Hosey, and as I’m getting ready to walk toward them, back toward the RV … I literally hear God telling me to turn around and go check on Topping, who was by herself down on Broadway,” he said, pausing to take a deep breath.

“As I turn around, for me it felt like I only took three steps, AND THEN THE MUSIC STOPPED.”

I KNOW. I'm not saying the song played. I'm asking why the fuck 2 days later did they INSERT the bullshit about this song? It doesn't line. I haven't heard any fucking song, but that's what took over the mockingbirds. It's a sign of something.

And she recorded that song at Pye Studies, Marble Arch, London. Not sure if that's a clue or not. It has just been bugging me since yesterday. Thing song story line is wierd. AND they never did close the loop on WHAT they heard on the box truck that was like what they heard in Nashville. Not that I remember anyway.
