Pence can control which set of electors he reads, if 2 sets are sent.
He reads the Trump ones, then the dems contest. In both houses.
The dueling slates of electors were a key move. Pence has some weight.
But the insurrection act is also iffy. What bill did they restrict it in? Is that vote done with?
It isn't about the insurrection act. Don't focus on it. An insurrection is a smaller group.
He doesn't need the insurrection act. The constitution gives him the authority to save the republic on a large scale, and a coup is treasonous. That is a pretty big danger to the republic.
