Every transaction's traceability is exactly the problem, though. If you are buying/selling coins while doing nefarious shit, it's complicity with the real purpose of it. Of course the good guys will be able to trace al that down and pin crimes to people. No, it doesn't mean it was put in place by good guys, and it doesn't help it's legitimacy in the slightest. If I can stand up a server and "farm" coins out of thin air, it has even less legitimacy than fiat, which itself is an illegitimate currency despite being accepted as the world standard.
