BERNIE: Voter Fraud Investigations Are ‘Poison’ Pill That Will Keep Dems From Offering $2,000 Direct Stimulus – Report

Remarks indicate Democrats may obstruct a $2,000 stimulus proposal if it is bundled with investigations into voter fraud and Big Tech liability protections

Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) has reportedly described Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s call to bundle Section 230 revisions and voter fraud investigations with a bill authorizing $2,000 stimulus checks as a “poison pill” that will “muddy the waters” when Democrats are asked to vote for higher stimulus payments.

Multiple sources reported Tuesday that Sanders told Hill reporters that McConnell’s proposal is “a poison [pill]. I don’t know what he has in mind, but the House passed, to their credit, a simple straight forward bill. Let’s not muddy the waters. Are you for $2,000 or are you not?”

President Donald Trump responded to McConnell’s announcement with a tweet Tuesday afternoon that read, “Unless Republicans have a death wish, and it is also the right thing to do, they must approve the $2000 payments ASAP. $600 IS NOT ENOUGH! Also, get rid of Section 230 – Don’t let Big Tech steal our Country, and don’t let the Democrats steal the Presidential Election. Get tough!”

With a few notable exceptions such as Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), prominent Democrats have only recently shifted to support $2,000 stimulus payments after taking notes of the overwhelmingly positive public response to President Trump’s calls for higher direct payments.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) had previously described the paltry $600 direct payments included in the congressional “relief bill” as a “significant” amount.

President Trump has been advocating for $2,000 direct payments for several months, and appears to be pressuring Senate Republicans to bundle the stimulus with one another one of his most valuable wishlist items: investigations into voter fraud.

“As President, I have told Congress that I want far less wasteful spending and more money going to the American people in the form of $2,000 checks per adult and $600 per child,” a statement from the White House said on Sunday.

Joe Biden Slips and Refers to Kamala Harris as ‘President-Elect’… Saying ‘Quiet Part’ Out Loud’?

Former Vice President Joe Biden has once again slipped up and referred to Kamala Harris as the “President-Elect.”

Jake Schneider, Deputy Director of Rapid Response for Team Trump, noted that Biden was once again “saying the quiet part out loud.”

During a COVID-19 briefing on Tuesday, Biden asserted that “President-elect Harris” took the COVID-19 vaccine to “instill public confidence.”

Biden has said that he will “develop some disease” and resign if him and Harris have a disagreement.

“As I told Barack, if I come to something where there is a fundamental disagreement, I will develop some disease and say that I have to resign”

Biden, in September, referred to his presidential ticket as the “Harris-Biden” administration

A few days before Biden’s gaffe, Harris, then the vice presidential candidate, referred to the “Harris administration” while discussing economic plans.

“A Harris administration, together with Joe Biden as the president of the United States,” she said.

Fears virus running wild through Sydney

Despite a swift lockdown and mass testing, there are growing concerns about more COVID-19 infections well beyond the northern beaches.

There is growing concern that community transmission of coronavirus may have spread beyond the northern beaches after new mystery cases were recorded.

Three cases of unknown origin were recorded after 8pm Monday in areas outside the locked-down peninsula.

One is in Wollongong, another in the Inner West and one in the “northern area”.

Authorities believe all three spent time in Sydney’s CBD – not the northern beaches.

NSW Health had previously recorded five other mystery cases during this outbreak: a Belrose Hotel worker, a Crows Nest firefighter, a Manly commuter, a Bondi resident, and a man who visited the Sydney CBD.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the new mystery cases meant NSW was at a “very critical phase of the response”.

“Ironically, as we see time move on the threat in Greater Sydney is almost becoming equal to part of the northern beaches,” she told reporters yesterday.

“Until those links are formally established – if they are established – all of us in Greater Sydney and greater NSW must be on high alert.”
