>Turns out, they were billing for doctors who weren't even part of the procedure much less the treatment.. in addition to many other things.

This seems to be commonplace with operations, when they think no ones paying attention to what’s going on and won’t remember. Several times I’ve challenged invoices padded with completely made up services and physician visits that never took place. Interestingly, the hospitals have never once disputed the charges I’ve struck through when settling the invoices, which tells you something…

Your guess is probably as good as anyone’s. We’re all flying blind as to specifics and timing. We think (hope) we know how it ends, but right now it seems to be more of the interminable “hurry up and wait.”

The investigation must be in the hands of military intel, because no one in the civilian domain is doing shit. If this is resolved, it’s because Intel is leveraged in back rooms.

Will there be a formal investigation? Depends on how the short term ends. If that’s not in our favor, the only prospect for an investigation will be in Congress, with the customary absence of consequences. If things work out well, we may not need more than a presentation of facts to the nation, as the culprits will have been dealt with.

Discount the DOJ or FBI or anyone else. Durham will likely be a dud on all fronts, unless I’m very much mistaken.
