I also seen this earlier with a chemtrail through it and stopping about 3\4 through, my camera doesnt pick it up though. (In otherwords it was a giant Q in the sky with the halo)
possible sky event?
if it was just ice crystals it's odd how it's visible east to west coasts. it's also said these halos are like the perfect conditions needed to happen but it's coast to coast. spotted, so it is a little odd. I like the pic related opine more :P.
I agree it is oddly bright.
Western Canada here (quite north) And it's almost straight up in the sky for me (not normal to see here and I look at the sky alot)
