‘Over a Million People’ Will Rally in Washington to Pressure Congress: ‘Stop the Steal’ Organizer

Ali Alexander, a national organizer of the “Stop the Steal” movement, spoke to NTD’s “Focus Talk about the upcoming rally in Washington D.C. on Jan. 6, where he says over a million people will show up to protest alleged election fraud. “We’re going to have over a million people in Washington, D.C., because we have the president even tweeting about the event,” said Alexander. “What we’re working on right now is lobbying members in the House and members in the Senate.” Alexander said that at least three senators will stand with President Donald Trump and that he has talked to more than 30 House members that will also object to the certification of the Electoral College votes on Jan. 6, which will trigger a debate over the voter fraud allegations. He continued to say that their internal metrics show eight times more interest for this event compared to two previous “Stop the Steal” marches and a prayer rally held in Washington on Dec. 12, where hundreds of thousands of people participated.

“With the president tweeting it, it has been a call to action. And we’ve been organizing caravans, we have over 100 charter buses coming into Washington, D.C. And I know of over 30,000 cars coming from Washington State, California, Florida, Maine, all of the edges and the corners of America will descend on the people’s capital. So my own personal estimate is at least a million, [1.5 million] people. But I think we might have even more,” said Alexander. Alexander emphasized that the constitutional process is of utmost importance and that they want to urge Congress to stand for voter integrity. “It’s a time of the people, the people want their Congress to do the right thing,” said Alexander. “We don’t care about bureaucratic deadlines or silly judges, what we care about is that the right thing is done, and we all know that there’s voter fraud in this country, all of us.” Alexander says that he has had more credible death threats in the last eight weeks than in his 12 years as a public figure. “We’ve had to spend a lot of money protecting me. And that’s unfortunate because we don’t have any big donors at Stopthesteal.us,” he said. “And there’s been pressure from my own party: ‘If you do this, you’ll never work again Ali’ or ‘If you do this, we’ll blacklist you.’ If we cannot vote, nothing else matters.”

Number of GOP Congress Members to Object to Electoral College Votes Grows

More House members have said they will object to the Electoral College vote on Jan. 6 as Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) announced he would join the effort. Rep.-elect Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) said Tuesday that he will also object. “I will vote on January 6th to CHALLENGE the Electoral College because the American people deserve a FREE and FAIR election! The FRAUD that DID take place on Election Day can’t be allowed to stand!” Jackson wrote. On Wednesday, Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) said he will join the effort, which is being led by Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.). President Donald Trump spoke with Brooks and several other Republican House members earlier this month and backs their effort. “On January 6, 2021, I plan to object to the Electoral College certification from states that experienced these unprecedented issues like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin,” Duncan said in a statement. “I plan to object for the people of the Third District of South Carolina and the millions of Americans who are demanding transparency into the 2020 election. We the People know this is a pivotal decision for our great country. May God bless the United States of America.”

Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-N.J.) also said Tuesday he would object to Electoral Vote counts from states that did not abide by the rule of law. Rep.-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said in an interview this week she has received word that even more lawmakers will join. “We refuse to certify a stolen election,” she told the Kyle Olson Show. “As members of Congress, it’s our duty to protect the integrity of our elections.” Meanwhile, Hawley became the first senator to announce that he will object to the certification during the Joint Session of Congress. “I cannot vote to certify the electoral college results on Jan. 6 without raising the fact that some states, particularly Pennsylvania, failed to follow their own state election laws,” Hawley wrote in a statement on Wednesday. “And I cannot vote to certify without pointing out the unprecedented effort of mega-corporations, including Facebook and Twitter, to interfere in this election, in support of Joe Biden,” he added. Other than Hawley, Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Rick Scott (R-Fla.), Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.), and Rand Paul (R-Ky.)—as well as Sen.-elect Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.)—have said they are open to the idea of objecting to electors. The move requires both a senator and a representative to carry out, which then triggers a two-hour debate and congressional vote on whether a state’s electoral votes are valid.

But several GOP senators, including No. 2 Republican John Thune (R-S.C.), have said the bid will fail. “The thing they’ve got to remember is, it’s just not going anywhere. I mean, in the Senate, it would go down like a shot dog,” Thune told reporters last week. “And I just don’t think it makes a lot of sense to put everybody through this when you know what the ultimate outcome is going to be.” And House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), speaking to reporters Wednesday, said she is confident Joe Biden will be declared the victor in Congress next week. “I have no doubt that” it will happen, the California Democrat said.

Jonathan Pollard, who sold top secret U.S. documents in 1980s, returns to Israel

Dec. 30 (UPI) – Former Navy intelligence analyst Jonathan Pollard, who stole and sold top secret U.S. documents to Israel in the 1980s, arrived to a warm welcome in Israel on Wednesday, weeks after parole restrictions that barred him from traveling abroad were lifted by the Trump administration. Pollard, 66, was greeted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other top officials after a private jet carrying he and wife Esther touched down at Ben-Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv. "Welcome home," Netanyahu said after Pollard, who is Jewish, knelt to kiss the ground. "Now you can start life anew, with freedom and happiness. Now you are at home." "We are excited to be home at last," Pollard said. "There is no one who is more proud of this country or its leader than we are. We hope to become productive citizens as soon as possible."

Pollard spent 30 years in U.S. prisons after he pleaded guilty in 1986 on charges of spying for Israel. He was freed on parole five years ago but had been subject to conditions like the travel ban. Those restrictions were allowed to expire last month by the U.S. Justice Department – a move seen by some as a political gift from the departing Trump administration to close ally Netanyahu, who is embroiled in a corruption scandal and a tough re-election campaign. The Pollards arrived in Israel aboard an aircraft registered to American billionaire Sheldon Adelson, a staunch supporter of both Trump and Netanyahu. At his 1986 trial, Pollard claimed he passed top secret intelligence to Israel only because of his belief that the Reagan administration was deliberately endangering Israel's security by withholding "crucial information" about the Soviet Union's support for Arab countries in the Middle East. "I realized that a whole new generation of ultra-sophisticated military equipment was quietly being introduced into the arsenals of our most implacable enemies, without Israel being forewarned by her ostensively 'loyal' allies," Pollard wrote before his 1987 sentencing, UPI reported at the time. "I really didn't know whether I was observing a short-fused time bomb or something more manageable. … Regrettably, the issue of money has served to obscure my true motives in the affair."

Israel has long argued that Pollard's life sentence was too harsh, though it did not admit that he'd worked directly with its government until 1998. Frequent requests for an early release were repeatedly denied until the U.S. Parole Commission ordered Pollard's release in 2015. Not everyone is Israel, however, welcomed Pollard's homecoming. University of Haifa political science professor Israel Waismel-Manor said in a tweet that Pollard "is not a Zionist hero," but rather someone driven "by ego and money" who "caused severe damage to Israeli-U.S. relations." "[He] hit a devastating blow to American Jewry by raising a dual loyalty suspicion. It would have been better if he had stayed in the U.S.," he said. Prosecutors said Pollard delivered suitcases full of U.S. secrets to Israeli agents in 1984 and 1985 in exchange for gifts and cash payments worth tens of thousands of dollars.
