Radio and here and a few other places is my source of news. Wifeanon will turn on the news to "see the weather" (I have a window which looking out of is more accurate than them by far) and I'm ready to shoot the TV within a second or two. Their… whatever the fuck they are doing gives me an extremely different reaction than they intend. It's weird. I get panicky and start looking for exits and go into defense mode while everybody else just stares and buys the bullshit.

I'm pretty sure I am hardwired against Bullshit. Which is one of the reasons I like this place so much. Every post is a test.

It's way worse now than it used to be though. Everything is programming these days. Even "right wing" radio has it's moments and the commercials all make my skin crawl.

I don't really have a "local talk" station anymore. They were bought by Cumulus media (owned by bain capitol as of last check.) and dumped the local thing.

All stations are owned by about 6 or 8 entities. Westwood one, Cumulus, and a few others. I dug on it during the Romney Ryan ticket years ago because of some disclaimer Rush Limbaugh did on a show during the run up to that thrown election.

CtC was top tier radio back in the day. No screener just call and if it picked up you were on the radio. Art Bell sold out over some shit and is now dead from a prescription drug overdose. Nobody has the guts to do it the way Art did.
