Sounds like resignation in the words she chose. Resign yourself to the modicum of satisfaction that joy may bring, because that which we fear has come upon us.
Another observation-
It has been a very long time since Hillary Clinton has experienced joy. True joy comes from within your being, it wells up from a righteous heart. Happiness, on the other hand, is a superficial emotion which can be aroused with external gratification.
She hungers for this satisfaction that can never be realized with her profligate nature.
