Not a laywer, but the wording indicates that once the Senate certifies a presidential candidate, then that candidate is POTUS.
After January 6th, it wouldn't matter if Biden was arrested and drug out of White House in handcuffs. His VP would then just assume the presidency.
Even a military coup would not change the outcome of succession pertaining to president-elect Senate certification.
