I've trained a shit load of immigrant indians in IT before I got a wind of what was going on. These are NOT talented immigrants AT ALL. These are foreigners that DO NOT have the necessary IT background to replace the Americans they replacing.

It's economic warfare against Americans. If you can't feed your children and lose your home and car in the process, it's much harder to defend yourself, family , livehood or any of the politics that arise high in the hierarchy of needs.

Don't think for a second that it's solely about hiring cheap labor. Cheap labor might seem attractive, but these folks are more like slave labor having to put up w/ whatever injustice lest they get fired and have to leave the country.

The fact that they are cheap is only simple benefit.

IT projects take 18 months instead of 6 months or the don't get completed at all.

At some point they need Americans b/c if they want the project to get completed at all they usu have to hire an American to (finally) get things to work which makes the immigrants feel stupid … which results in an us/Americans vs them/indians situation.
