Apparently we have been on StandBy (under the guise of Covid) for Continuity of Govt. since Feb / March, and the recent activities seem to point towards an increasing state of readiness.

I do recall that Gen. O’Shaughnessy was in the Washington DC area, at Arlington Cemetery last Feb and March, and had 2 public events, both on the 17th of the month, coincidentally enough.

For the first time in the modern history of the United States, the Department of Defense has been given standby orders to ensure the “continuity of government”, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These extraordinary measures, which include evacuating White House officials to remote quarantined locations, and devolving the nation’s leadership to “second-tier officials”, were originally meant for the aftermath of a nuclear war.
However, according to Newsweek, “Above-Top Secret” contingency plans are now in place, in case the nation’s Constitutional power successors are incapacitated by the pandemic. Standby orders have been issued for a series of plans under the US Northern Command (NORTHCOM)
NORTHCOM's aim is to defend "America's homeland — protecting our people, national power, and freedom of action." The organization operates only in assistance to the government and other civil authorities and is charged with dozens of secret assignments, which include protecting the President, Vice President and the Secretary of Defence.
The Plans :
CONPLAN 3400, or the military's plan for "homeland defense," if America itself is a battlefield.
CONPLAN 3500, "defense support of civil authorities," where the military assists in an emergency short of armed attack on the nation.
CONPLAN 3600, military operations in the National Capital Region and continuation of government, under which the most-secret plans to support continuity are nested.
