I have to admit I'd like to get a signed hat or something. Just saying.
A random COVID post aimed at powerful people who will likely never see it.
I am of an age where my chances of dying from Covid are a few ticks higher than most of the population. I am fully aware of this.
I want to live a lot longer. I want to see my grandkids grow up. I want to see my wayward kids attain intellectual maturity, and my steadfast ones seize the greatness they deserve.
I want to live.
But I don't want to live at the expense of my country, the greatest country to ever exist. I do not want those grandkids and kids struggle to survive in a socialist or totalitarian regime where their pursuit of happiness becomes a daily pursuit of food and shelter.
End the lock downs. End the mask mandates for healthy people. We'll be fine. I'll be fine. My life is not so important as to be used as an excuse to destroy our republic.
In the (probably unintentionally) poignant words of Seth MacFarlane in "a million ways to die in the west", people die at the fair. My generation worked together to defeat communism. We went to bed every night for decades knowing that Soviet missiles could cause us to never awaken.
And that was ok, as long as we went down knowing that we were fighting the evil, not embracing it.
Do not destroy this country and entire western civilization in my name. Don't you dare.
