Sigh… Yes, wings do hold fuel, I've spent enough time crawling around in the tanks fixing capacitance probes/wiring to 100% positive they hold a hell of a lot of fuel.

They also have mechanical parts such as what's in your picture because both are needed to control the movement of an airplane.

I feel certain they are slides but I get concerned if someone doesn't say something, others may assume what they said to be based in fact.
