Why would workers in a poultry plant be dying? Since "COVID-19" seems to be a hodgepodge of illnesses there might be something else going on. But it probably suits the plant owners for people to believe it is "COVID-19" because if it were an infection brought on by workplace hazards then perhaps the EMPLOYER rather than the "mystery virus" would be to blame.

Also, why are so many workers in certain jobs non-english speakers?

I have a guess. Some employers don't want a population of workers who are informed about their rights. Also, some Americans (wisely) know that certain jobs are hazardous and disgusting without commensurate pay or benefits. So much would get cleaned up in this country if we stopped importing people from poorer countries to do our dirty work. Certain employers would have to redo operations or go under and the quality of goods in this country would increase.
