Trump lawyer & conservatives disown vocal pro-MAGA attorney Lin Wood after he says Pence may 'face FIRING SQUAD for treason'

A lawyer on the Trump campaign and a number of conservative allies have distanced themselves from attorney Lin Wood, a loud backer of the president, after he accused VP Mike Pence of “treason,” saying he’d face a “firing squad.”

Jenna Ellis, a senior legal adviser on President Donald Trump’s campaign team, took to Twitter on Friday night to disavow Wood’s claim that the vice president is guilty of “treason” and could be slapped with the death penalty, stating: “To be clear: I do not support the statements from Attorney Lin Wood. I support the rule of law and the US Constitution.”

Hours earlier, Wood posted a lengthy thread alleging that a shadowy cabal of “globalists” had plotted to steal the 2020 election from Trump, consisting of the Chinese Communist Party, Democrats, the CIA, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and progressive bankroller George Soros – as well as “the Republicans.”

“When arrests for treason begin, put Chief Justice John Roberts, VP Mike Pence [and] Mitch McConnell at [the] top of list,” he went on – apparently angry that Pence’s lawyers challenged a lawsuit seeking to allow the VP to disqualify electoral college votes when they are officially counted later this month, which has since been shot down in court.

Afghanistan busts 10 Chinese spies in espionage cell in Kabul

Afghanistan has busted a 10-member Chinese module operating a terror cell in the capital city of Kabul, according to diplomats and security officials in the West Asian country. The crackdown has come as a huge embarrassment for Beijing, which has been trying to persuade the Ashraf Ghani government to hush up the case, people familiar with the matter in Kabul and New Delhi said.

The 10 Chinese citizens, detained recently in this connection by Afghanistan’s National Directorate of Security (NDS) on charges of espionage and running a terror cell, are believed to be linked to China’s spy agency, Ministry of State Security. The crackdown by the NDS started on 10 December.

Federal Court: President Donald Trump Has Authority to Bar Uninsured Immigrants from Admission

The Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco ruled in favor of President Donald Trump’s order barring entry to legal immigrants until they fund their own health insurance and avoid becoming a “public charge’ for taxpayers.

The San Francisco Chronicle put the number of migrants who would not be admissible at an estimated 375,000 every year — or about one million every 2.5 years.

The Chronicle claimed migrants have a right to enter American’s homeland even if they need Americans to pay for their healthcare, and suggested that President-elect Joe Biden would probably reverse Trump’s move:

‘Culture of fear’ at Western Washington University after auditors fired, prompting lawsuits and resignations

The internal audit office at Western Washington University is tasked with investigating and preventing legal and financial risk. But it has instead become the epicenter of sudden firings, lawsuits and even a police escort from a board of trustees meeting in recent years.

After one former auditor sued, claiming he was pushed out over an audit of a former president’s travel expenses, Western settled for $216,000.

His successor, Antonia Allen, sued the university earlier this month for alleged retaliation and wrongful termination. Allen was fired soon after her office completed a contentious audit into the use of “ghost courses” to pad students’ credit loads, which her office reported as fraud to federal investigators.
