Going to go longer than the 8th.

Congress has 5 days beginning to the 6th to settle all elector challenges. If it Goes longer than 5 days, the doors get locked, and they don't get to leave until a president is chosen.

But if the counting of the electoral votes and the declaration of the result shall not have been completed before the fifth calendar day next after such first meeting of the two Houses, no further or other recess shall be taken by either House.

It all depends on if we challenge each and every state.

Which, if my gut feeling is right, we will.

Each challenge must endure a time period of 2 hours.

When the two Houses separate to decide upon an objection that may have been made to the counting of any electoral vote or votes from any State, or other question arising in the matter, each Senator and Representative may speak to such objection or question five minutes, and not more than once; but after such debate shall have lasted two hours it shall be the duty of the presiding officer of each House to put the main question without further debate.

Math comes out as 50 states plus Washing D.C., I.E. 51 x 2 = 102 hours.

Natuarlly there will be lunch breaks, the finding of chairs, leg streches, bathroom breaks and of course going home, which is permitted during the first Five days.

and no recess shall be taken unless a question shall have arisen in regard to counting any such votes, or otherwise under this subchapter, in which case it shall be competent for either House, acting separately, in the manner hereinbefore provided, to direct a recess of such House not beyond the next calendar day, Sunday excepted, at the hour of 10 o’clock in the forenoon.

5 days math is 24 x 5 = 120 hours

51 "states" (remember D.C.) per 2 hours = 102

Add afore mentioned recesses and farting around, 120 hours is achievable.

Kek, been game theorying this out all day.

And, I think, key word think, I am begging to see what will go down. And, not spairing you a TLDR, Pence becomes God as Presiding Officer of the whole shebang to the whole congress. And thoie old fogies will get tired and muddled in the brain, and really guise, I tell you what, Trump can come out of this thing as POTUS. 5 days, it's all we need. Got to get them to 5 days.

>The president has the ability to convene congress if I'm not mistaken.

Under different circumstances, but Trump doesn't have any power in this process. (backroom stuff not withstanding)

But it's no matter. Congress is obligated to handle this thing till it sees the end, and unable to take up any other business till it's all over.

Pence becomes their God once the thing kicks off.

Also concerning electors is interesting. There's the real kicker.

We have dueling electors. \

SInce Title 3, the law that this is all based on was written, that has only happened once Nixon v. Kennedy, 1960 election.

Hawaii was the state.

Title 3 says both sets of dueling electors must file before the 14th to even be considered for counting. Which all the states we need did do.. Like Arizona, Georiga, and Pennsylvania..

In 1960 Nixon beat Kennedy by like 100 votes in Hawaii. Nixon Electors were signed and sealed by the governor before the 14th but as a recount was planned, Kennedy electors were sent by the legislative also by the 14th. A recount was held and Kennedy won the re election. Nixon like Pence was the VP at the time. So when it came time to count the votes in congress, January of 1961, Nixon had a conundrum, he had elctors signe4d and sealed by the governor for him but also electors sent by the lgislative for Kennedy. As Nixon got his ass kicked in the Electoral college by 100 votes he didn't bother to open the evelope for his electors. BUT he had to ask the joint session if it was okay if he just threw his electors in the trash and went on to count them for Kennedy. But when he asked he said he was doing so without establishing precedent. Anyway, they held a vote in the joint session to allow him to not even bother with his electors.

Now Pence has the SAME situation but with multiple states. How he will play it is anyone's guess. WIll he say, "Hey Congress, concerning the state of Pennsylvania, I'm opening Trump electors votes." Or will he open Biden electors? I don't know. I Think he will open Biden electors. BUT the thing is, he will have both envelopes, and again, it's never happened before excewpt for NIxon. With Nixon, it wasn't that big of a deal because he was so far behind, and again, he stated he wasn't creating a precedent. Going to be wild.
