It's an ancient rule.

Why would any enemy soldiers be buried here?

Are you talking British? Revolutionary War?

or Civil War?

For the "Civil War" [oxymoron] I imagine soldiers could barely make it home themselves?

I've heard of disgraced leaders being denied burial in a Church or buried in the jail yard

[Buried in the jailyard is often a cover for a fake death]

In the old days if the person didn't come home from war there would always be the hope. That's why they returned the fallen.

FWIW. Hate will never bring salvation.

"in the course of Justice,

None of us will see Salvation,

Therefore[] Consider this:

We all pray for mercy

And that same prayer doth teach us all to render the deeds of mercy."

Think of Mc[] and how he kept the families of the M.I.A. dangling for all those years. They never gave up hope. He lied and covered, saying they did not exist.

Beastly! What's wrong with these people? He was allowed to get away with all that and more. They have a human body but no human soul?

Normal etiquette of war has degenerated.

Many things considered prohibited in the ancient world regarding what is "righteous" and according to proper behavior are disregard in more recent times.
