My friends and I were talking about defunding the UN, balancing trade deficits, etc etc back in the early days of the Reagan Admin. It never happened, thing just got worse from about Desert Storm I until Trump came in. Almost 30 years of disaster, sprinkled with some artificial boom times in the 90s, based on govt policies that came home to roost around 2005 with all the financial failures. Since then, the war economy has been fucked.
The ship of state is off the rocks, turned around, and has started to head in the right direction. Just started.
