Speaking from personal experience, ghosts or spirits are actually quite solid, be it with fine detail or a pure shadow figure they are not transparent. Also when they speak it goes through all other sounds and its right in your own head, oh and your eyes sting like hell once your brain finally catches on what you are seeing isint alive.
