More Electioneering: Dirty Facebook Suspends GOP Ad Campaign Days Before January Georgia Runoff Election

Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook have already been sued for their electioneering in the 2020 election. Phill Kline, the former attorney general of Kansas and director of the Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society, argued that hundreds of millions of dollars were donated by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to nonprofits, which used them in ways that compromised election standards.

And, as we reported earlier, the WVA – Wisconsin Voters Alliance has filed a complaint against a “left-leaning group” funded by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, who have donated a whopping quarter of billion dollars to the group that claims “Elections place too many burdens on voters.”

But this hasn’t stopped Facebook from interfering in elections around the world.

Facebook this week suspended Republican ad campaigns DAYS BEFORE the January Georgia runoff election.

Via The Washington Examiner:

Facebook temporarily disabled a Republican advertising effort in the Georgia Senate runoffs days before the election.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee announced the “unacceptable” restrictions on Twitter, writing, “Facebook has shut down the ad account for the Georgia Battleground Fund, a joint fundraising committee for NRSC, @Perduesenate, and @kloeffler. This is unacceptable with only 4 days to Election Day.”

Seven Arrested After Philadelphia Federal Buildings Defaced With Antifa-Related Graffiti

Seven people were arrested after a group of "about 50 people, all dressed in black" defaced and vandalized several Federal buildings in Center City Philadelphia on New Year's Eve.

The large group was spotted by officers at the Robert Nix Federal building on the 900 block of Market Street, about 5 blocks away from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where windows had been smashed in, according to ABC Philadelphia.

Police witnessed a 25 year old man throwing a brick through windows before fleeing the scene on foot with another 24 year old man and two 23 year old women. They were all eventually arrested and damage to the building was estimated to be about $3,000 - which we're going to guess that collectively, between the four of them, they don't have enough money to make good on.

The same group of vandals also left "Antifa-related" graffiti at the Federal Detention Center at 7th and Arch streets, near the Ben Franklin Bridge.

Later in the evening, three other people were arrested, including a 25 year old man and two women, aged 22 and 26. Officials said the man was carrying what was likely a molotov cocktail and that the group "had more plans" for the evening. The man had a glass jar with a fuse going into a bottle that had "a strong flammable odor". He also had plastic container with white powder labeled "Fire Starter."

Blackburn on Senate Republican Electoral College Challenge: ‘We Should Get Answers to This’

Saturday, during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “America’s News HQ,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) discussed her decision to participate in an effort to object to the election results from certain states.

Blackburn joins Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Ron Johnson (R-WI), James Lankford (R-OK), Steve Daines (R-MT), John Kennedy (R-LA) and Mike Braun (R-IN), and Senators-elect Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Roger Marshall (R-KS), Bill Hagerty (R-TN), and Tommy Tuberville (R-AL).

She explained to FNC host Gillian Turner that they were working toward resolving outstanding questions about the integrity of the 2020 presidential election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

“Gillian, what transpired was a couple of us had been working independently on finding a way to address the issues of election integrity to make certain that legal votes are counted and that votes that are not legal are not counted and that people can trust that this is a true and fair election,” she said. “And as we said in our joint statement, looking at where the American people are on this, the millions of people that feel like this election was not a fair election. We knew that there needed to be something that was done. People can define the problems, but defining an action that leads to a solution is something that is a little bit more difficult to do. So we brought together our efforts, and that is what you have in the statement. And the closest example we have is the 1877 election, when this is exactly what they did — when there was a challenge to the votes that were taking place in 3 states. And there have been years, you know, in 1969, 2001, 2005, 2011, 2017, the Democrats launched their objections — we wanted to launch something to give a deliverable.”

Blackburn insisted an audit was needed to reach that “deliverable” response.

“This audit will answer the questions as to what happened in some of the disputed states,” Blackburn explained. “Of course, Pennsylvania, there’s many questions in Pennsylvania. But when you look at what transpired this year and people saying, we want to know what happened. And Gillian, you also have to realize what happened over the last four years. The Democrats never accepted president trump. They spent every single day trying to undermine him, trying to work against him, trying to obstruct. The day after, they named themselves the resistance and said they were going to resist him every single day. There are ways for us to approach this. This is one of them. We should get answers to this. The American people should be able to trust in their electoral system, and the electoral college is a vital part of our process. And this will be the opportunity that we have to weigh in. Of course, fixing this, as one of my friends said yesterday, one of my Tennessee neighbors, said fixing it is up to the states, isn’t it? And I said this, yes, it is. This goes back to the states. They’re the ones that set their election laws and implement elections at the local and state level.

The Tennessee lawmaker denied her and her colleagues’ decision was motivated by retribution against Democrats for the past four years of obstructing Trump.

“Oh, not at all. Gillian, as I said, the Democrats have launched their objections,” she added. “And you can go back and look at recent past elections where they have had their objections and have launched them — whether it was 69, 01, 2005, 2017. What we are saying is, let’s get to the bottom of this. Let’s find out what happened. Let’s let the American people have trust in the integrity of the elections. This is the appropriate way to do it, as I said. Several of us were working on things. We brought our ideas together. We feel like this is respectful of the Electoral College, respectful of the process, respectful of the institution, and this is how we are going to move forward.”

AMBIGUOUS: Fox News Seems To Suggest Ted Cruz Was Previously Pressuring Senators Not To Join January 6 Fight

Fox News's ambiguous wording makes it seem as though Cruz was working against President Trump.

While Sen. Ted Cruz is receiving accolades for leading another 11 U.S. Senators into the January 6 Electoral College fight originally championed by Sen. Josh Hawley and Rep. Mo Brooks, an ambiguously worded paragraph in Fox News’ article seems to indicate Cruz may have originally pushed Senators to do the opposite.

Fox News wrote: “A source familiar with the effort by the GOP senators told Fox News that it was Cruz who orchestrated the push just days before the joint session of Congress on Wednesday to officially approve the Electoral College votes electing former Vice President Joe Biden.”

It is unclear if “the effort by the GOP senators” is the same item as “the push” that Fox News writer Adam Shaw referred to earlier in the paragraph. It would seem that Shaw is suggesting “it was Cruz who orchestrated the push … to officially approve the Electoral College votes electing former Vice President Joe Biden.”

However, Shaw and Fox News may have simply published a fundamentally difficult to read paragraph. The actual meaning may be “it was Cruz who orchestrated [the effort by GOP senators]” to object to the Electoral College votes on January 6.

National File has contacted Fox News to determine their meaning behind the paragraph and did not receive an immediate reply.

Today Cruz and 11 other Senators published a statement indicating they will object on January 6, joining Hawley for a total of 12 Senators who have committed to the fight. In the House, over 140 Republicans are expected to object.

Cruz’s colleague in Texas, Sen. John Cornyn, offered a nonsensical understanding of the 12th Amendment as the reason he would not object. Cornyn claimed that a contingent election would allow House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Democrat-led House to choose the next President. In reality, the choice would go to a the House, but each state would only receive one vote, likely resulting in a swift victory for President Donald Trump.

Cruz recently came under fire for allegedly fundraising off the January 5 Senate runoff in Georgia, only to direct the funds raised to his personal campaign. At this time, Cruz had not publicly committed to the January 6 Electoral College challenge.

The NYC billionaires who got richer during the COVID-19 pandemic

Big Apple billionaires are booming — with a collective wealth that ballooned by $81 billion to more than $600 billion during the pandemic, according to an analysis.

That 16 percent surge among Gotham fat cats since mid-March included big gains for former Mayor Mike Bloomberg, the city’s richest person, whose financial data and media empire shot up by $6.8 billion to some $55 billion, a 14 percent spike, says Americans for Tax Fairness and the Institute for Policy Studies, which crunched the Forbes data.

President Trump also did quite well, as his net worth grew by $420 million, jumping from $2.1 billion to $2.5 billion, a 20 percent increase, the data shows.

New Mets owner and hedge fund titan Steve Cohen is also among the metro-area billionaires — a class of 141 — who had a great 2020, adding $700 million to his pile, which now totals $14.6 billion, a 5 percent uptick.

Buoyed by trillions in federal COVID-relief largesse, Wall Street powerbrokers notched some of the largest gains.

Stephen Schwarzman of Blackstone Group fattened his wallet by some $5 billion to about $21 billion, a 34 percent gain. JPMorgan’s Jamie Dimon’s holdings went from $1.2 billion million to $1.5 billion, about a 29 percent increase.

Even so, those gains were not as rosy as the national average. America’s 651 billionaires collectively padded their pockets by a cool $1 trillion, going from $2.95 trillion to $4 trillion, a 36 percent bump.

JANUARY 6: John Cornyn Indicates He Doesn’t Know How Contingent Elections Work, Hasn’t Read Constitution

No, John. Nancy wouldn't get to pick the next President.

In a statement to Politico regarding the 12 U.S. Senators who are joining the January 6 Electoral College battle, Sen. John Cornyn indicated he does not understand how contingent elections are held in the House of Representatives, and may not have read the 12th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

Speaking to Politico, Cornyn said “I confirmed yesterday that if in fact some of the certified votes are not counted and nobody gets to 270 that Nancy Pelosi and the Democratically-controlled House of Representatives gets to choose the next president.”

This is obviously and provably false by a simple understanding of the U.S. Constitution and 12th Amendment, which in part reads (emphasis added):

The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice.

In other words, the Constitution clearly explains that, in a contingent election, each state represented in the U.S. House will only have one vote, thus rendering the additional representatives afforded to high population states like California and New York moot.

As National File previously reported, “While the House of Representatives has more representatives based on population, there are currently 27 states that have sent Republican representatives to the House, and 20 states that have sent Democratic representatives to the House. Three states have an even split.”

National File contacted Cornyn’s office to determine whether the Senator wished to correct his obviously false statement, and to ascertain whether he has read the U.S. Constitution, specifically the 12th Amendment. National File did not receive a comment in time for publication.

Cornyn’s statement is particularly suspect considering his fellow Texas senator, Ted Cruz, joined the planned Electoral College battle earlier today, and was joined by 10 other Senators.
