Depends on what your concept of god is.

For many, god is an arbitrary thing which is no more or less than the supreme king. God in this model is a god because he has the power to simply will to be whatever and however.

I subscribe to a different idea - that is God being a concept behind the experience we call life. The idea that my life holds purpose and value and that this world and experience do have some point to them. In this model, god is not a capricious being causing things to happen, but is the ultimate effect of all things, except by the time you account for all things, cause and effect are muddled such that the two are inseparable. God is both the effect and the cause, but not in the sense that god is god by virtue of power. God is less a being as he is an intrinsic property of existence which logically arises from any form of existence. Even if this is all a simulation, no matter what reality I find myself in - the very nature I can perceive a reality begets a concept of god - even if I am an all powerful being living out a power fantasy or something.

There was an anon who commented that animebaker was more than met the eye.

The harassment was also extremely intense toward animebaker.

I keep tabs on who is on the board and have my insights into who is whom around here.

Who is the girl?

What is the orchestra?

What does she do?

Where is this from?

What is the maternal line of Anastasia Romanov?

How connected?

A man by the name of william shatner once said "brevity is the soul of witt".

It is why memes work.

I can fill pages with words, or even play in haiku to express feelings, but few things hit home like a single panel or frame.

The media swamp is just salty that Japan is absolutely destroying them with anime. It refuses to go woke and people like the stories better than this year's bastardization of spider kid and its politically charged nonsense.

This style has absorbed most of the creative talents, who have abandoned the western media complex.

You can learn more about world history from an anime where King Arthur is a goddamned waifu straight from a hentai VN than you can watching the history channel these days.

Hell - a CHINESE Webtoon (Release That Witch) describes how to make explosives from the starch in flour. Among other things practical and related to engineering. It is a culturally unifying force moreso than anything else in history I am aware of with everyone from Brazil to Russia and even parts of the god forsaken muslim regions joining in and enjoying Anime/Manga/Webtoons from the cultures producing them.

Obviously, because there are dedicated interests in countering our friends who know things.

Many are quick to say that Islam is a problem, and it is - however, it is the obvious problem we can go Queen Tamar of Georgia on.

Financial subversion by a mafia-like coalition is a little more difficult to notice when their means are more subtle than the classic shakedowns of italian legend.

Do not lose focus on Loop Capital.

Loop capital gained its wealth by buying and selling municipal bonds.

Municipal bonds are the deficit spending of local state and county governments which the government promises to pay back. Who do you think bought many of those bonds and is the holder of local debt?

And who has the power by promising to keep buying them to keep up the appearance that local governments are solvent?

Read how they describe it. It's all been there. They just dress it up to try and make people think it is about helping the indians or africans living in mud huts.

Do some research into the financial kickbacks for urban housing development. The people who build large rental complexes, by time all refunds and credits are granted, do so nearly for free - transforming small towns into dense rental apartment housing.

Do not confuse China's economy with the U.S. investment. There are massive roads to nowhere in North Korea specifically because the minister of economics (supreme leader kim jong il) ran out of ideas for things to tell people to do. Empty buildings are normal in places like China, UAE, (Dubai is full of half built skyscrapers), etc.

The bonds being bought are just swapping of debt. When a community wants to do some remodeling downtown, they don't have a treasury they reach into to pay for it - saving money is alien to these people - they issue a bond to cover the planned project and its costs. These projects can and often include "market incentives" - which are rebates for construction jobs.

Sometimes these are bought up by your retirement accounts - your mutual fund payments are covering retired city employees' pensions and the employees of today will ultimately get no pensions. And your retirment account is probably stuffed with junk municipal bonds that can never be repaid by the issuer.

China does this knowingly, not because they want to be paid back, but because they want to be able to influence the game by printing yuan.

Why have just the federal reserve printing money? Let the Chinese get their own printing press involved in a competitive race to the bottom.

We should put an end to the current bar on new state admittance.

Puerto Rico has wanted to be a state for nearly 20 years.

The reason why that is being held up?

Because it would dilite the power of senate seats and would shake up house rep distribution.

George washington thought that 40,000 people per representative was too many and supported the move to 30,000 people per rep. At 2010 census levels, we would have just under 10,000 U.S. House reps.

Which might be a tad impractical, but the value was frozen in the 1940s and hasn't been increased, even as pop per rep has skyrocketed.

We should embrace the franchise model of a nation. We are a nation of laws, after all. That is the basis of a franchise - a repeatable pattern of success.

Those are going to be "investment purchases."

If you want something that will qualify for a first time home owners' loan (which is supposed to help people move away from renting and toward owning homes) - you are looking at around 50k minimum - and that is usually going to be an old home that is marginal. A lot of stuff runs closer to 100k. There is a huge band in pricing. The market for "starter homes" barely passes loan requirements and the stiff that actually qualifies as a halfway decent home starts to hit the 100k+ mark.

If you are smart and can save while young and have parents who don't shove you into the money pit that is renting - then you'll be able to do okay.

If you're someone beating away in a factory for $15 an hour or so, then you'll need a significant other to also do the same to be able to have a home that you'd want to raise children in.

Although as much as cars cost these days…. You're almost better to rent and walk to work until you can afford to buy a house… Then kill someone for their car.

Old is the key word, anon.

Consider that a man working at a factory in the 80s, making $3,000 a month was living in a world where a brand new car might cost $5,000 and a two bedroom, one bath house $40,000.

There is a growing "barrier to entry" which explains, in part, the "failure to launch" of younger people.
