>slow and steady wins the race, fren.

did you learn that in public school? never questioned it? 'cause IF that were the moral of the story, it would imply that a tortoise would beat a hare, EVERY TIME THEY RACED! since that is obviously FALSE, it is NOT the correct moral to the story. in the fable, the tortoise won the race ONLY because the hare was arrogant and overconfident, and fell asleep. the CORRECT moral to the story is that overconfidence and arrogance will be your downfall, no matter how much talent or ability you have. capiche? see how public education has warped and twisted the moral to suit the DS agenda? hey everyone, you can be slow and stupid and totally lacking in ability, but just keep plugging away and you're guaranteed to "win" in the end. the fact that (You) never gave it any critical thought and just mindlessly accepted the moral that was spoonfed to you by your teachers serves to prove just how effective the mindfuck was, at least in your case.

i see anons post that 1/20 is in the constitution. it is NOT in the original constitution.

"Since 1937, it has taken place at noon EST on January 20, the first day of the new term, some 72 to 78 days after the presidential election. The first inauguration, that of George Washington, took place on April 30, 1789. All subsequent (regular) inaugurations from 1793 until 1933, were held on March 4, the day of the year on which the federal government began operations under the U.S. Constitution in 1789. The exception to this pattern was those years in which March 4 fell on a Sunday. When it did, the public inauguration ceremony would take place on Monday, March 5. This happened on four occasions, in 1821, 1849, 1877, and 1917. Inauguration Day moved to January 20, beginning in 1937, following ratification of the Twentieth Amendment to the Constitution, where it has remained since."

the 20th amendment was an attempt to prevent FDR from investigating election fraud in the 1936 election by shortening the period between the election and the inauguration.

wow, awfully defensive for something so "inconsequential." the context in which you used it is immaterial. whatsamatta, little soi-boi, can't admit you failed to understand the fable and failed to question the "accepted" moral?

>Fuck. The state of this place.

you got THAT part rightโ€ฆ

FWIW, i concur with first anon. obsessive narcissism is a giant red flag.

incel, intelligent and emotionally mature were reasons you omitted from your question.

me, i'm intelligent and emotionally mature.

but you do youโ€ฆ go get 'em, tiger. most guys gotta learn the "hard" way.

>the height of being a judgmental prick wouldn't you say Anon?

no, i wouldn't. i was in my fifties when "selfie" became a word, and the obsession with taking them corrupted an entire generation, and induced them to piss a huge part of their lives away on such a useless and meaningless frivolity.

>They would need an amendment to change the date

wellโ€ฆ there's been some debate lately on whether or not the scotus can rule an amendment unconstitutional.

i think it's a great idea, and proly consistent with what the founding fathers intended.

and there's more than one amendment that ought to be considered for removal.

>Member when the height of boredom was going over to a neighbor's house to look at slides of their vacation?

nope. never did that. but i DO remember when polaroid introduced the first cameras that spit out self-developing pics.

lots of people bought one and began taking pics. then in a few months, the novelty wore off and we went back to REAL LIFE.

ps, hardly anyone ever looks at the polaroid pics they took back then.

sure, male dogs will hump another male dog. difference is, the fuckee ain't havin' a good time, and they don't make up retarded excuses like being a woman trapped in a man's body, or that they have the "gay gene."

that's the thing about kinky sex. once you start down that road, it's never enough. next time has to be even more kinky. slippery slope. hard to pull back. (all puns intended.)

that's not to say you won't lose interest. you outgrew the merry go round. you'll outgrow the roller coaster, too. that's only natural.

never understood the the whole concept. if someone ain't horny, why would they want a pill to make themself so?

kinda like a pill to make a fat man hungry, ain't it?

you just proved the point. respect means that you allow for the possibility that someone older than you just might have more insight than you, and even if you don't understand or you disagree, you remain polite and civil, and you take what someone older says and give it serious and honest consideration, because they just might be wiser than you.

>if your parents abuse you physically, sexually, verbally, do you still honor them? why?

well, first, you're just being argumentative for the sake of arguing.

second, regardless of everything else, they still gave you life.

third, never heard, "that which does not kill you only makes you stronger?"
