Ex-FDA head predicts new COVID-19 strain will be ‘majority’ of US cases by March

Former FDA commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb on Sunday predicted that the contagious, new strain of COVID-19 will account for the “majority” of cases in the US by March.

“There are some estimates that the new variant probably represents about 1 percent of all infections in this country. By March, it’s going to be the majority of infections,” Gottlieb said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

Gottlieb said it will “grow quickly” and its arrival adds more pressure to ensure COVID-19 vaccines are distributed as soon as possible.

“I think the existence of this new variant that spreads more readily really creates more urgency around trying to get this vaccine out more quickly and get more people vaccinated — even if it’s more general population,” Gottlieb said.

“There’s a lot of excess demand for the vaccine right now, particularly in the elderly population. I think we ought to think about moving quickly through these stages that we’ve delineated and start moving more quickly into a general vaccination program for those people who are 65 and above,” he continued.

At least three states — Colorado, California and Florida — have confirmed cases of the new strain of coronavirus, which first emerged in the United Kingdom.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has warned that the new variant of the coronavirus could be 70 percent more transmissible than other known strains.

Raffensperger’s Team Leaks President Trump’s Saturday Call to Fake News WaPo — Tells You Everything About the Dirty Georgia Leadership

The travesty in Georgia continues.

President Trump held a one-hour long phone call on Saturday with crooked Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and state election officials on the 2020 election in his state that was wrought with fraud.

It’s not clear if Ruby Freeman or Ralph Jones, Sr. were on the call.

In the one-hour phone call on Saturday, President Trump insisted he won the state and threatened vague legal consequences.

Raffensperger’s team leaked the call to the far left Washington Post.

It took 24 hours for the Washington Post to publish this trash.

Trump is right. The liberal media has NO INTEREST in reporting the truth to the American people. And the Washington Post has no interest in investigating the massive amount of fraud uncovered in Georgia the past two months.

President Trump Speaks to 300 State Legislators From AZ, MI, WI, PA and GA in Zoom Call, Urges Them to Decertify ‘Unlawful’ Election Results

President Trump spoke to 300 state legislators from Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania on Saturday and urged them to decertify the false election results for Joe Biden.

The Zoom call was hosted by Got Freedom?, a 501(c)4 nonprofit election integrity watchdog group.

The President spoke for about 15 minutes and urged the lawmakers to review the evidence of lawlessness, fraud and irregularities that occurred in the 2020 election.

Also on the call were Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, professor of law John Eastman, Liberty University Law School Professor Phill Kline, Assistant to the President for Trade and Manufacturing, Peter Navarro and John Lott, Senior Advisor, U.S. Department of Justice (both appeared in their personal capacity).

The President’s legal team has spent the last several weeks presenting evidence of voter fraud and irregularities to the contested battleground states to state legislators.

Giuliani and Jenna Ellis has argued that the state legislatures have the plenary power to decertify the false election results for Joe Biden and appoint Trump electors to be sent to Congress.

“This information should serve as an important resource for state legislators as they make calls for state legislatures to meet to investigate the election and consider decertifying their state election results,” said Phill Kline, who hosted the Zoom call.

“The integrity of our elections is far too important to treat cavalierly, and elected officials deserve to have all relevant information at their disposal as they consider whether to accept the reported results of the 2020 elections, especially in states where the process was influenced by private interests,” he added.

Congress will convene on Wednesday, January 6th to ratify the 2020 election results.

Nearly a dozen Senators and more than 140 members of the House plan to contest the results this week.

Phill Kline and professor Eastman summarized their arguments and sent them to the state legislators.

State legislators, Eastman stated, have both the right and duty to:

Assert your plenary power

Demand that your laws be followed as written

Decertify tainted results unless and until your laws are followed

Insist on enough time to properly meet, investigate, and properly certify results to ensure that all lawful votes (but only lawful votes) are counted.

ASIO red-flags Liberal Party donor Huifeng 'Haha' Liu over foreign interference risks

A Melbourne-based Chinese businessman who has aligned himself to prominent Liberal Party MPs is facing deportation after being assessed by ASIO as a national security risk, an ABC investigation can reveal.

He co-founded a community assistance group which has an agreement to receive funding from and share information with the Chinese consulate in Melbourne

The businessman, Huifeng "Haha" Liu, is a Liberal Party donor and former soldier in China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) who developed links with federal Liberal MP Gladys Liu and Assistant Treasurer Michael Sukkar.

Mr Liu is contesting the deportation order after the Federal Government rejected his application for permanent residency when security concerns were raised.

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) has also confirmed it is investigating Mr Liu as part of the joint ASIO-led Counter Foreign Interference Taskforce, but declined to comment further.

Mr Liu told the ABC he believed ASIO had assessed him as a security risk because he was the president of a popular Australian-Chinese neighbourhood watch organisation which had an agreement to take instructions from the Chinese consulate in Melbourne.

The group, the Australian Emergency Assistance Association Incorporated (AEAAI), acts as a middleman in police incidents and legal cases involving Chinese speakers.

The association has promoted itself as a grassroots community platform to its more than 55,000 members from the Chinese diaspora in Australia on the Chinese social media platform WeChat.

It has more than 1,000 volunteers who promise to race to the scene of incidents across Australia in a matter of minutes.

According to confidential documents obtained by the ABC, the AEAAI was promised funding from the consulate and agreed to report back on criminal incidents, emergencies, accidents and "security risks" involving Chinese citizens deemed to require consular assistance.

The AEAAI was promoted publicly by Gladys Liu (no relation), who has close links to Mr Liu.

Ms Liu helped the 52-year-old develop a relationship with Victoria Police and, by Haha Liu's account, translated for him at events with MPs and business leaders.

He also watched from the public gallery in the House of Representatives as Ms Liu delivered her maiden speech in July 2019 as MP for the federal seat of Chisholm in Melbourne's east.

Trump Rages "When In Doubt, Call It COVID" As Pressure To Clean Up Death Toll Mounts

Given the loose national guidelines for reporting deaths attributed to COVID-19, is it any wonder that, around the country, potentially tens of thousands of deaths have been wrongly attributed to the virus?

In Washington State, as we recently pointed out, hundreds of "COVID-19 deaths" have been recorded even if the manner of death had nothing to do with the virus. In some cases, deaths caused by gunshot wounds were counted in the "COVID-19 death" column since the patients had previously tested positive. A report from the Freedom Foundation, a Washington State think tank, found the number may have been inflated by as much as 13%:

In May, a report released by the Freedom Foundation, an Olympia-based free-market think tank, revealed the DOH was attributing to COVID-19 every death in which the deceased previously tested positive for the virus. However, it’s clear that catching the disease and dying of it are two very different matters.

Washington’s data was riddled with cases - as much as 13 percent of the total - in which the death certificate made no reference to COVID-19 as a cause of death. In several cases, even gunshot deaths were chalked up to the virus.

While the Department of Health did remove 200 deaths from the count, the Freedom Foundation did another analysis. Combining data sources from the Department of Health for nearly 2,000 deaths as of early September, the new analysis found that 170 death certificates did not mention COVID-19. Another 171 deaths had no causal connection to the virus. According to the Post Millennial, the group estimates Washington’s death counts could be inflated by as much as 20%.

Additionally, as Epoch Times' GQ Pan recently noted, two Minnesota legislators who believe their state’s COVID-19 death count is inaccurate are calling for a nationwide audit to find out how many people died from something other than the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus but were added to the pandemic death totals.

TEXAS CHURCH SHOOTING: Pastor Killed With Own Gun, Others Injured

SMITH COUNTY, Texas — A small town Texas pastor was fatally shot with his own weapon after confronting a pursuit suspect who had been hiding in the Church overnight, officials said.

The incident occurred at the Starrville Methodist Church in Winona, Texas.

KLTV reported: Sheriff Larry Smith said the pastor, his wife, and others came to the church. The pastor opened a bathroom door and found a man hiding inside with a red bank bag from the church.

The sheriff said the pastor drew his gun and ordered the man to stop, but the man was able to lunge at the pastor and get the pistol. At that point, the suspect shot the pastor and one other person before he ran from the church and stole a vehicle from the church’s parking lot, Smith said. He added another person at the church was injured in a fall.

During the press conference, Smith explained that law enforcement learned the man was hiding in the church following a shooting incident Saturday night. The man had wrecked out during a chase and took off into the woods, Smith said. Drones and dogs were brought in to assist with the search, but authorities could not find the suspect.

Smith said law enforcement, with the help of Onstar, were able to track down the stolen vehicle and the man was eventually taken into custody following a chase of over 120 miles per hour on I-20. He was taken into custody after being stopped in Marshall. Before the man was arrested, he was shot in the hand, and he is now being treated at a Tyler hospital, Smith said.

“As far as i’m concerned this is not a church-related or religion-related offense,” Smith said. “This was an opportunity that was convenient for the guy to come out of the woods … and apparently he was still there when they came to the church this morning.”

“Our hearts are with the victims and the families of those killed or injured in this terrible tragedy,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott said. “I am grateful for the law enforcement officers who apprehended the suspect, and I ask Texans to join Cecilia and me in praying for those affected by this horrific shooting. The State of Texas is working closely with first responders and local officials to ensure that justice is served and that the Starrville community has the resources it needs during this time.”
