>what do lasers do?
Everyone is posting about distracting cats, and while yes there are lots of patent applications for that use, in military terms.. lasers are used to guide bombs…. when I was in the airforce there was this picture that was passed around a lot (sorry can't find it on the internet, I tried) of a laser guided bomb, the size of a car, targeting a moving truck. the picture was taken the instant the bomb 'hit' but before the detonation.
The driver is driving along, completely oblivious with his window down. The bomb (again about the size of a small car) is targeting the driver.. of a moving truck. when the image was snapped the bomb was about one inch from his ear. his ear. in a moving truck, and they dropped a bomb bigger than him, flew it through the window, and hit him in the head.
I guess you could say it was more ethical that way. the impact of the bomb to his skull by the pointed tip followed by the near instantaneous explosion originating inside his head would kill him so fast he didn't even realize what was going on.
Anyways, that is the difference between the US Air Force's laser guide missiles, vs the improvised explosives they used against us which hardly hit the target and usually just maimed.
since Q in the past has use military terminology and metaphors in his code I figured I would add my 2 cents to it, cause I don't think he meant anything about distracting/playing with cats.
anywho, i'm a go back to lurking again. keep it up anons, WWG1WGA MAGE, MEGA
