these are SSD hard drives with what i think are ESXi installations for a VMware VM machine… a big server, this is how the MIL does it.
this works using 3 tools. CISCO networking, VMware ESX Virtualization for OS and netAPP for data storage. therefore, these are simply the OS, NOT DATA, imho

these things are seperate. those drives should only have vmx files.. the BIG data drives (vmdk) files usually live on iSCSI datastores… or the like
