The Ten Commandments were NOT given to us (born again Christians), they were given to the people of Israel, before the time of Christ. It was not available then to "walk in Love". They needed the LAW - it magnified their sin nature, thus pointing them to the need of the Savior. Read Romans. Romans is the "magna-carta" for Believers. Jesus Christ FULFILLED the law. For a Christian there are only 2 LAWS:
1.) Love God, with all your mind, heart and strength.
2.) Do unto others as you would have them do unto you - i.e. walk in love.

Those of you really wanting to learn - search for a really good and grounded "home based" bible study fellowship in your area. Hopefully, they are teaching the RIGHTLY DIVIDED WORD OF GOD. Also, when you read the bible, first pray for God to open the eyes of your understanding that you may fully comprehend His Word.
