'amen' simply is a confirmation, adverbial in sense, applied to end of divine oriented conversation, often called prayer

thus 'aman', 'awoman', 'awomen' are all modern nonsense because gender is not concern, thus singular or plural sense makes no sense, never ever made any sense

simply put 'amen' can be understood to mean

certainty

it is a word affirming faith in what cannot be seen, adverbial sense meant to exclaim the sincere and honest intent of the prayer

'man' itself coming from ancient Hebrew, as opposed to 'man' of Slavic trace, offers no sense of gender, certainly not masculinity, and yet forms parts of many daily words:
