EXCLUSIVE: D.C. Mayor Bowser Partners With Chinese Communist Party Group, Grants Access to Federal Building Housing CBP, Commerce Dept, and USAID

Bowser, who recently made headlines for renaming a street adjacent to the White House “Black Lives Matter Plaza,” has been a partner of Confucius Institutes since at least 2019.

An annual report from the Chinese, communist-run Confucius Institute U.S. Center (CIUSC) identified both Bowser’s office and D.C. public schools as partners of the organization:

The report boasts of the collaboration with the D.C. Mayor, which included a “cultural” event at the federally-owned Ronald Reagan Building, which sits between the White House and the Trump International Hotel (Old Post Office) in the nation’s capital.

The Ronald Reagan Building is the home to a number of federal government tenants, including USAID, the U.S. Department of Commerce, Customs and Border Patrol, the Environmental Protection Agency, and more.

Nevertheless, Mayor Bowser worked with the Chinese Communist-run group to gain access to the building for “hundreds of community members,” as stated in the aforementioned annual report:

Steve Scully Reinstated At C-SPAN After False Claim Of Hacked Twitter Account

Steve Scully is returning to C-SPAN, after being placed on administrative leave when he admitted that he falsely claimed that his Twitter account was hacked.

In a statement, C-SPAN said that Scully would return to work starting this week, with initial off-air assignments as a producer and a resumption of work on C-SPAN Radio’s Washington Today and his podcast series The Weekly. No date has been set for his return as one of the cable network’s on-air hosts.

“We view October’s events as a singular episode in an otherwise successful 30-year C-SPAN career,” the network said in a statement. “And while it was appropriate in October for Steve to be immediately relieved of his duties leading our 2020 election coverage, we reiterate our belief that now, having completed a three-month administrative leave, he can continue to contribute to CSPAN’s mission.”
