If POTUS wanted to confuse the enemy (obviously), wouldn't he chose a rock solid, loyal VP, but then sow disinformation that said VP could not be trusted? There may be a number of loyal Trump allies who have let themselves be portrayed as disloyal, or are actually double agents, so to speak.
