There are always different levels of understanding and those that cater to each. Each one comes with its own benefits & pitfalls.
Personally welcome honest questions, no matter the knowledge level. To me, the deciding factor in which to engage in respectful dialogue is not IQ, but willingness to learn & also contribute something in return (tit-for-tat).
Unfortunately, many who come here are expected to be spoon-fed like they are everywhere else, and many times don't even bother to ask nicely. Sorry, but that's doesn't cut it in this little corner of the board.
As for those that berate & belittle newbees, try to give them a taste of their own meds whenever i can, but it's almost impossible to keep patrolled at any one time.
So, got to come in with a stiff upper lip and take no shit from anyone.
Remember, every new bread, we must figure out anew who be friend and who be foe.
Challenging in and of itself.
Godspeed and God bless.
